Be Who Thou Art
All these sensations and memories,
Is it possible to be me and be free?
All these emotions and longings,
Is it possible to dream and sing?
All this creativity and passion,
Is there any room for expression?
All this spirit and sentience,
Is this the crux of experience?
All these reflections and reveries,
Is it possible to imagine and breathe?
All these ambitions and seeking,
Is it possible to aspire and scream?
All this vitality and vision,
Is there any time for impressions?
All this verve and essence,
Is this the point of existence?
Cry until you laugh; laugh until you cry.
There will be times when you sigh,
But there will also be times when you smile.
You’ll run into times of pain and tears,
But there will always be times of cheer.
Cherish it all because it’ll only be a short while,
Be on your knees and look to the sky,
Don’t forget—remember this until you die:
Live life as if you would forever miss,
Give love like it’s the last desperate kiss.
Go forth, find what you believe and thereof.
Find truth, freedom, happiness, and true love.
Trust, don’t give up hope, always have faith and confidence.
Enjoy life and follow your dreams to paradise.
Keep your promises, take chances, make sacrifices,
Forgive, repent, reconcile, and have strength and resilience.
Look for miracles and signs from above,
Look to the sky for stars, wishes, and doves.
Follow thy heart,
Be who thou art.
